Join Cathryn as Repeats Her DEMA Show Seminars via Zoom
by Cathryn Castle Garcia, Owner, ClearStoryCoach.com, The Azores
REMEMBER DEMA 2025? It was only several weeks ago when we gathered, all gung-ho about the diving industry. If you’re like me, you probably returned home with your brain buzzing, excited to implement new ideas to grow your business
There are times when the busyness of life gets in the way of our business goals. This is why in January, I’m offering a “DEMA Do-Over” of several sessions I offered during DEMA. All are aimed at helping you deeply connect with your customers, create relationships that convert sales, and boost your revenue. If you attended a session during DEMA, it’ll be a great refresher to help kickstart your 2026 business planning. If you didn’t attend, here’s your chance.
We’ll meet via Zoom. I’ll offer one session each day, from 12-16 January. Each session will start at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (3 p.m. CST, 2 p.m. MST, 1 p.m. PST) and will last about 30-40 minutes, including time for Q&A and networking. All sessions are free to join. Simply email hello@clearstorycoach.com and indicate which sessions you wish to join. I’ll send you a Zoom link.
Here’s a description of the sessions and the date for each:
Monday, 12 January: “Connect. Profit. Repeat. Use This Simple Formula to Grow Your Business.” I consider this my foundational presentation, as it outlines the SB7 Formula created by marketing expert Donald Miller in his book, Building a StoryBrand. Miller’s work is at the bedrock of my business coaching.
In this session, we’ll discuss the neuroscience behind why people buy and relate it to the powerful mythic Hero’s Journey story arc. We’ll position your customer as the hero and you as their trusted guide in a way that can turn potential buyers into loyal customers. This session is ideal for dive center owners, managers, and staff, and will also benefit independent instructors and travel specialists.
Tuesday, 13 January: “Is Your Website All About You? How to Make More Money by Making Your Website About Your Customers.” In this session, we’ll focus on transforming your website into a customer-centric experience. We’ll rethink design, content, and navigation using the StoryBrand SB7 Framework to make your site more inviting, engaging, and effective at converting visitors into loyal customers. It’s ideal for anyone who has or is looking to launch a business website.
Attendees will receive an invitation to meet my friend Sandy Shaw, a website wizard who specializes in applying Donald Miller’s SB7 Framework to create compelling websites. She’s hosting a website audit deep dive in an online session on 20 January that will demonstrate how to transform your website to attract more customers.
Wednesday, 14 January: “Going Gonzo: How Unconventional Marketing Can Grow Your Business.” This session is perfect for dive center owners and independent instructors who are looking for new and innovative ways to attract new customers. Attendees will walk away with a framework and calendar for planning and budgeting low-cost, organic marketing plans for business growth.
Thursday, 15 January: “Email Gold: 10 Proven Ways to Get Your Marketing Messages Noticed.”
This session harnesses the power of email marketing in a way that makes your email blasts irresistible to your clients. It’s perfect for those who are list-building and looking to start email campaigns, and those who use email marketing and are looking to increase their open rates.
Friday, 16 January: “Show and Sell: How to Use Video to Increase Sales.” In this session, we’ll outline how to create video content that converts viewers into clients. We’ll cover the video targets, topics, transcripts, and tech you’ll need to create money-making marketing videos. It’s ideal for those who are new to using video, and those who are currently running video marketing campaigns.
One More Biz Book: Last month I promised you a second installment of my favorite books aimed at business growth and personal development. I’m proud to report I finally finished The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness, about entrepreneur, investor, and modern-day philosopher Naval Ravikant. I say, “finally finished” because it took a while. The book is a compilation of multimillionaire Naval’s wisdom and experience, but it’s not a how-to or a get-rich-quick book. It’s simply chock-full of good advice for business and life. I found myself having to go back and re-read chapters. First published in August 2020 by Eric Jorgenson, it’s available free online at Navalmanack.com or you can get a copy of it from your favorite bookseller. The audiobook is available on Audible.com. I’ll drop a few more book recommendations from time to time, but this should keep you busy for a while. If you attended one of my DEMA sessions, thank you. I hope we meet on one of the January Zooms.
