Resort Celebrated by Caribbean Journal as a Best Destination for Underwater Vacations
Soufrière, Saint Lucia — Anse Chastanet has once again been recognized among the Caribbean’s premier dive resorts, earning a coveted spot on Caribbean Journal’s list of “20 Dive Resorts Perfect for an Underwater Caribbean Vacation.”
Caribbean Journal highlights how St. Lucia’s volcanic landscape creates some of the region’s most dramatic underwater scenery — and how Anse Chastanet places divers directly inside this world-class marine environment. From the resort’s beautiful beachfront, reefs begin just steps from the sand before descending into walls, plateaus, and soft-coral gardens vibrant with marine life.
Guests can enter the water directly from the beach or join Scuba St. Lucia’s guided boat dives to deeper sites beneath the iconic Pitons, where sunlight and visibility create unforgettable scenes for underwater photography. Caribbean Journal praised the resort’s dive operation as “seasoned and precise, with attentive crews, small-group departures, and a strong safety culture backed by years of local experience.”
Back on land, divers return to Anse Chastanet’s open-air rooms surrounded by tropical foliage and panoramic views of the bay and the twin Piton peaks — a serene retreat after exhilarating days underwater.
“We are delighted to receive this recognition,” said Karolin Troubetzkoy, Executive Director of Anse Chastanet and Jade Mountain. “Scuba St. Lucia has spent decades nurturing a dive program built on safety, professionalism, and deep respect for our marine environment. It is an honor to see our team and our reefs celebrated in this way.”
